The road towards the release of Twisted Metal's PlayStation 3 incarnation looks set for a nostalgic boost as the ESRB seemingly outs a rerelease of the PSOne original.
First released in 1996, Twisted Metal introduced the series' blend of driving and generally mashing things up good and proper. We even reviewed it back when all this was just fields.
Following a series of denials and straight-out fibs from creator David Jaffe a PlayStation 3 follow-on was announced at this year's E3 – and it played as well as anyone could have hoped.
The ESRB – scoured by MTV Multiplayer – outs what looks to be the rerelease of the PSOne original as part of the Classics range, though no date or any further details are listed. We await an official response from Sony.
