Failure. Complete and absolute failure. The confident smile on Kofi Kingston's face no longer apparent, he sat at the dining table and glared at the scene in front of him. Everything he's ever worked for, everything he's ever said in front of his fans, everything he's ever cared a lick for, it was all plundering down snowy hill. A small snowball quickly growing larger and larger the further it rolled down the hill, eventually becoming a giant mass of utter destruction, that was the career and life of Ezekiel Jackson. What was in front of Kingston angered him, driving him insane. Knowing that this scene, this occurrence in time, this moment shared between individuals was nothing but a scam, a farce, a mockery of their profession. Ezekiel Jackson having a lunch meeting with AWE creative, a money-driven Stephanie McMahon feeding Ezekiel Jackson a plate of false hopes and dreams, of false promises, to think that Kofi Kingston just months prior was in this same situation, this same predicament, it continued to feed his anger.
Pursing his lips, tasting the flavor of his lime-hinted soda, Kingston continued to watch the scene, remembering that glint in Stephanie's eyes as she held Ezekiel Jackson at a carrot-stick's end, providing him ideas, storylines, and championship opportunities that were bound to happen the more he jumped through her hoops. Their hoops. Ezekiel Jackson, Kofi Kingston, Dolph Ziggler, Vance Archer, everyone on the AWE roster were just circus acts, each providing their audience a beacon of entertainment, each having their 'must-see' aspects. Ziggler with his arrogance, Archer with his intensity, Kingston with his ability to captivate, and Jackson...and Jackson with his raw power. It was no secret that raw power was a huge selling point, giving dreamy audiences the ability to see a human's strength utmost potential. A visual representation opposed to something that a commentator had to lead to with their crafty wordplay. Audiences at a whole were stupid, and visual representations of strength were just easier to showcase. Tightening the grip on his bottle the more the meeting between Ezekiel Jackson and Stephanie McMahon lasted, Kingston continued to watch, waiting for either one of them to leave the other.
Taking a another sip of his drink, he watched as Stephanie McMahon closed a folder, and placed back in her briefcase. Giving Ezekiel Jackson a business-orientated good-bye, leaving him sitting alone at the table. Finishing off his soda, Kingston then got up from his own table and took a Stephanie's seat, much to the surprise of Ezekiel Jackson. "You shouldn't believe a word she says." Kofi smirked. "'Last week was last week,' I'm guessing that's what she said, right? You took down a threat, demolishing me, therefore, I shouldn't be a problem to you anymore, right?" Rolling his eyes. "Forget any plans she had you for on Smackdown this week, you see, what she fails to see, what she fails to realize that our audience needs continuation. I attacked you last week, you kicked my ass afterward. I didn't get a single offensive maneuver against you." Kingston begins to notice Jackson start to gloat about that happening. Holding a finger up, Kingston interrupts any chance he had to do. "I did that on purpose. I gave our fans a reason to cheer for you, a reason to fall in love with you. You took down the villain, the mastermind, your newly discovered arch nemesis with ease. Your power, your strength, it's now known world-wide." He pauses, "You can thank me later. You see, the more powerful you seem, the more better you become towards our audience, the grander my ultimate victory is. The more meaningful your inevitable demise is. I can't just take you down, I can't just beat you. Beating you last week would have held no meaning, no purpose other than to showcase how better I am than you at everything." Kingston continued to talk, not giving Jackson a chance to interrupt. "And...that, that just isn't enough, because until you killed me last week, the world held no doubt that I was better than you are. Now the tides have turned, now the doubt is spreading. Do you understand?" An evil smirk overcame Kofi Kingston's face as he watched the expression on Ezekiel Jackson's.
