THQ, I'm not done with you just yet!
One blog isn't going to cut it. If I'm going to be on the cover of WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2011, I'm making sure it goes to No. 1.
Lucky for you, I'm the perfect spokesperson because I will not stop until everyone hears about it, and we all know how loud and obnoxious I can be. I like to think of it as a relentless pursuit of The Miz becoming the face and mouthpiece of WWE. (See ya later, Cena! As your song says, "Your Time is Up, My Time is Now.")
My actions and big mouth have led me to where I am today in WWE — the United States Champion and Mr. Money in the Bank You have no idea how good it makes me feel to say that.
I am a success, and like successful people, I have a winner's mentality. And I don't care who I step on to get to the top.
Although, those actions have occasionally gotten me into trouble. For example, for three months last year, I challenged John Cena every week, saying everything I could think of to get him in the ring. I just split from teaming up with John Morrison and was trying to make a name for myself as a singles competitor. I made fun of Cena's movies, rapping, merchandise, the Cenation — anything i could think of to get him in the ring, However, he'd always no show
So every time he no-showed, I counted it as a victory. My record
was like 8-0 before I finally got my match, and guess what happened .... let's just say maybe I should have laid off making fun of his movies.
However, taking Cena on those few times, and him whooping me, allowed me to realize what I had to do to get to that level.
You'd think after getting pounded, that I'd shut my mouth. But that wouldn't be me now, would it? No, after that debacle, I knew what I had to do — work hard and get better. And that's exactly what I did.
I ran my mouth, saying I would win the United States Championship. Guess what? I did. I said I'd win the Unified WWE Tag titles. And I did. I said I'd win Money in the Bank. And again, I did.
Sensing a trend here, people?
Which brings us to present day, a year later, where I had another match against Cena on Raw. I took him to the limit and won by disqualification. That's when I realized all my hard work, running my mouth at no matter the cost, all paid off. Now I can fight on that level. I don't think all my success would have happened if I didn't talk smack to Cena and get my butt kicked last year
I will be WWE Champion. Sounds sweet, doesn't it? The path I'm taking is leading me to it. You will read in big, bold letters very soon:
I have shaped my WWE career, taken the reins, and ran with it to ascend to where I am now. I customized my WWE experience and made the Mizfits, Miztakes, and entire WWE revolve around me, making everyone wonder what I'm going to do next.
Which is exactly what you can do in WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2011, thanks to the WWE Universe mode. The game experience will change based on your actions and will set up new rivalries, alliances, title matches, and more. It's all based on how you play.
For example, if you're playing as The Miz, which I know you will be, you may like to beat the crap out of John Cena in matches (which I do). Just like in WWE, there are repercussions from that.
Maybe it sets up a dynamic rivalry. Maybe the next time you come to the ring, Cena will have bought a front-row ticket. Perhaps he'll attack you on the way to the ring. And perhaps a brawl will break out, and The Miz will give Cena a Skull Crushing Finale and lay him out (Well, that's a certainty, actually).
The point is, WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2011 is unpredictable, ever-evolving, and changes around the players' choices. Power to the players.
However you decide to play, you better always come out on top if you're playing as The Miz, or else it wouldn't be that realistic, now would it? Because I'm The Miz and I'm Awesome!
