Mike was getting ready to leave and get on his way towards another city for another show, after his promo with Jerry 'The King' Lawler. As he was walking to his car with his suitcase rolling behind him, he passed a picture of Edge holding the AWE Championship. Mike scoffed at it and continued on his way, getting into his red 2011 Dodge Charger, and blaring some Cage The Elephant on the radio. Leaving the arena and on his way to the next destination, he looks over at the U.S. Championship he has in his passenger seat and smiles.'Ain't No Rest For The Wicked' was on and Mike bobbed his head to the music and thought about some of the previous events that he could relate to the song.
One being CM Punk forming Nexus and getting shot after undeserved shot at the AWE Championship, and he even got an appreciation night. Another being Randy Orton or King Randall basically owning the AWE with his powerslam for sometime and today. Then his former partner Triple H bascially ending The Awesome Assassin's, all because he wanted to show that he still has what it takes to dominate the AWE. Then there's Michelle and Layla forming Lay-Cool and poor Michelle can't even beat that gorgeous ass Maryse. Speaking of that frenchie who's ultra-sexy, here she comes, possible offering to join up and maybe dominate AWE with him.
Of course theres The Miz himself, who has been on a small winning streak and capturing gold during that streak, Mike is just about to lose it. All this chaos going on in the company and when he goes on a tear and wins matches, oh he might of gotten gold ,but it's not the title he wants. Which brings him to his most thought about and talked about topic, Edge and his unwillingness to succeed as AWE Champion. "That should of been me, not him," Mike says as 'Shake Me Down' starts to play over the radio, and he turns onto the interstate. Hopefully one day, it'll be him not Edge holding up the AWE Championship with pride, honor and pure Awesomeness.
